Supporting the coolest climate projects
Partnering with B-corp certified CarbonClick means you can now offset your flight emissions with meaningful projects that are certified to reduce or remove atmospheric carbon.
Airline travel has an impact on the environment.
While we all enjoy travelling, it comes with a considerable environmental cost due to emissions, including harmful greenhouse gases, compounded by radiative forcing (emitting in conditions where contrails are formed). We have partnered with CarbonClick to show you the estimated emissions of your chosen flight and provide you a simple way to compensate some of the impact through supporting truly meaningful nature-based and clean energy projects. Based on this, you can make a contribution to support climate projects which are certified by third party registries like Gold Standard and VCS to reduce a small amount of atmospheric carbon emissions.
Our collective contribution is growing, thanks to travellers like you offsetting emissions
Disclaimer
The projects are certified by third party carbon registries such as Gold Standard or VCS (Verified Carbon Standard), have passed CarbonClick’s 7-Point Impact Check and are monitored regularly, and audited annually. Offsetting emissions will not directly reduce your flying footprint.
Neither Azerbaijan Airlines or CarbonClick claim that the purchase of or contribution/funding for a "compensation" or "offset" product actually reduces, absorbs or compensates part of the climate impact of flying, including carbon emissions, directly. However, the climate project(s) supported by offsetting estimated emissions have been certified by third party registries such as Gold Standard or VCS to reduce or avoid a small amount of atmospheric carbon emissions. We aim for those two figures to match equally, by way of average emission measurement, against the measurement of emissions reduction or removal awarded to the project.
We want to do something good for our local communities, but we also know climate change is a global issue. That’s why we support the highest quality carbon offsetting projects we can, both locally and internationally.
